Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Box Office Collection Day 2
The Holi film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar reportedly netted about $16 million on its second day. Theatres are filled to capacity with people eager to see the film. The new pairing of Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the Luv Ranjan film is a hit with the audience. Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia made their acting debut in the romantic comedy. With Holi off, Box Office India reports that Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar opened well on March 9.

“Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has done well on the first day, with a box office result around the 14-crore net mark,” reports Box Office India. The Holi festival has helped the film in many states, but in some states it has also hurt business because Holi is celebrated a day early. Had it been a normal Holi, the film would have netted nearly 16 crore, which makes it look better on paper, but it does not matter because audiences will easily make up the shortfall in the long run.
“Due to Holi, which is like a national holiday in the region, the film has done very well in NCR and Gujarat/Saurashtra. Maharashtra is the ‘weak point of the film and it needs to do better there, especially in Mumbai and Pune where this kind of film has more potential. The box office results are also a bit low on UP, but since Holi is long gone, they could be higher tomorrow,” the BOI added.

His film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is the ideal blend of comedy, romance, family drama and separation. The film tells the love story of Mickey and Tinni, who meet at bachelor parties hosted by their respective best friends. Mickey and his friend Mannu, played by Anubhav Singh Bassi, help break up couples for a large sum of money. They use a series of tricks to happily divorce the couple. Tinni, on the other hand, works a 9-to-5 job.
Mickey and Tinni fall in love with Bollywood moments and songs that are flirtatious and romantic after they meet. Shortly after they meet their families, they talk about getting married and they were going to get engaged. But then something happens and they break up.
Dimple Kapadia is as good as ever as Ranbir Kapoor’s mother. She also looks funny as a Punjabi mother and seems to have perfect comic timing. Boney Kapoor has also brought to life a boring, unimpressive father figure who spends all her time in front of the TV.
